Why do I see a different WordPress dashboard for themes and plugins on SiteGround?

How can I see the normal WordPress dashboard for themes and plugins on SiteGround?

I have created a new WordPress site on SiteGround.

Now when I go to Themes and Plugins in the admin dashboard I see a strange dashboard.

Instead of the normal WordPress theme directory, I see all the themes recommended by SiteGround (e.g. mainly variations of the Neve theme).

How can I restore the normal WordPress view? I want to see the themes and plugins recommended by WordPress, and not those recommended by SiteGround.

If you see a strange dashboard for themes and plugins on SiteGround, that is due to a plugin that gets installed automatically by SiteGround when you create a new WordPress website.

In order to restore the normal view for themes and plugins you just need to go to the WordPress admin dashboard, click Plugins and remove the “SiteGround Central” plugin.
